OUR TEAM
DOUGLAS E. REESE - President
An entrepreneur at heart, Doug began a business at age 12 and started investing at age 16. Doug’s step-father Dr. Robert Barkley, a renowned dentist, was one of the biggest influences in his life. At the age of 14, Doug experienced firsthand the settling of an estate, following Dr. Barkley’s tragic death in a plane crash. That experience solidified Doug’s deep desire to help people protect the value they create, tackle money issues in their lives, and become good stewards of their finances. Doug is a graduate of Western Illinois University where he completed his Bachelor’s in Finance (’85) and MBA in Financial Planning (’86). After a four-year associateship
with United Financial Planning and Alternatives for
Professionals, Inc., Doug became the co-founder and
President of Wealth Associates, Inc. in Denver, CO. He
has served as investment manager and financial advisor
to businesses and individuals throughout of the U.S. since 1987. Doug’s focus in private practice is structuring and managing healthy financial models.
Doug is an avid outdoorsman, serving as guide and
outfitter on horse pack, backpack and elk hunting trips
into the backcountry of the Colorado Rocky Mountains for
more than 30 years.
His passion for helping those with Alzheimer’s has kept him busy in recent years as an art instructor for the Memories in the Making weekly art program at the Alzheimer’s facility near his home. He lives with his wife Lisa and two children Jacob and Abby in Highlands Ranch, CO.
